Planning a production in Norway
Norway is well connected, but a company move can still involve a ferry, a mountain road or a domestic flight. Choosing where to base the crew
Oslo is often a practical base for interviews, offices, studios and city work. Bergen can anchor a west-coast route, while Trondheim provides access to Trøndelag and central Norway. Shoots farther north may need a different crew and travel plan. The right setup depends on where the work is, how much equipment is moving and which members of the team are travelling from abroad.
Cities, fjords and mountain locations
Norway offers contemporary architecture, working harbours, coastal roads, forests, mountains, fjords and reliable winter environments in different parts of the country. Scouting is not only about finding the image. We also check how the unit can reach the location, where equipment can be held, what facilities are nearby and whether the planned working area needs additional permission.
Local crew and equipment
We can provide local producers, production managers, camera, sound and lighting crew, assistants, runners and drivers to match the scale of the shoot. Equipment can be sourced through Norwegian rental partners, with the crew and technical package built around the locations and the team already attached to the production.
Permits and location access
Norway does not use one national filming permit for every shoot. The process depends on the municipality, landowner and the production’s effect on public access, roads or protected areas. Filming in Oslo normally follows the city’s own process, while work elsewhere may involve a location owner, road authority, municipality or another relevant body. We confirm the route for each location and allow for the required lead time.

Yes. We plan the crew base, company moves, ferries or flights and equipment travel around the actual route. Depending on the distances, it may make more sense to use one travelling unit or different local resources in each region.
