Additionally, Hungary offers a number of modern, urban locations, as well as natural landscapes such as lakes, mountains, and forests.

Crew and Equipment

The local crew in Hungary is highly skilled and experienced, with a range of professionals available including production managers, location managers, Fixers, DOP’s and more. The country also has a good selection of film equipment available for rental, including cameras, lighting, and grip equipment. The costs of hiring local crew and equipment are competitive, and the crew are known for being flexible and adaptable to different production needs.

Filming Permits

In order to film in Hungary, you will need to obtain a filming permit from the National Film Office. A few additional things worth knowing

  • Transportation: Hungary has a well-developed public transportation system, including trains, buses, and trams. Taxis are also readily available in major cities. It’s important to factor in transportation costs and logistics when planning your production.
